Georgia Event Infrastructure Standards

Standard statutory & contractual benchmarks governing procurement in Georgia:

Temporary Structures & Life SafetyPermits & Life Safety

Commercial event infrastructure throughout Georgia triggers municipal fire marshal inspections for structures exceeding statutory footprint baselines. Major clearspan structures require licensed Professional Engineer (PE) structural calculation stamps validating site-specific wind and seismic resilience.

Tax Treatment & Municipal UnderwritingTax & Insurance

Commercial contracts in Georgia bifurcate hardware rentals from certified installation and rigging labor, minimizing sales tax liabilities where labor is non-taxable. Suppliers carry 2 Million to 10 Million USD commercial liability coverage naming host municipalities and enterprise sponsors as additional insureds.

Barry and his team are scammers. CAODAI TEMPLE OF GEORGIA is his last weekend victim. I signed the contract for 40x90 tent, but he brought over one 40x60 and one 40x20 tent. Totally we had a space of 40x80. His staff left the job undone and asked for $600 more as extra labor and tip to finish the job at last second. They did not anchor the tent down as they must do for safety. Let alone, his tent roof and siding are in too bad shape, and not presentable at all. Stay away from Georgia Tent Company owned by Barry.

Barry and his team are scammers! Beware! They ask you to pay cash and give a small discount, so you can't dispute any charges later with your credit card! They will automatically charge your credit card and never return your calls. Barry is a very sweet talker, but a total fraud! Stay away!

SCAM. These people are terrible, unprofessional and should be reported. no consideration of safety or protocol. We had a 2000+ person event and the team did not properly set up and provided ripped/ torn tents with no safety strap nor did they secure them. The owner turned off the cell and did not return calls when we were trying to secure the tents to the ground. We had to have our own staff secure the tents and try to physically hold them down so the wind didn’t blow them away. The “staff” they had came and dropped off gear without setting up and left. We they did finally return later that night, they asked for additional $1000 to finish the job they were originally paid to do. SCAM.

I have never written a bad review but my hope is to help prevent someone else from having a bad experience like we did. I had a contract with Barry Bauguss from Georgia Tent Company to set up a tent on a Friday for our daughter’s Saturday wedding reception. I paid him half of the rental fee through Zelle (lesson learned). He did not come on Friday saying he had some conflict. And he did not come on Sat until too close the time guests would arrive and after our band had set up. It was a warm and sunny day and one of the band members had to go home and load up his personal tent (which didn’t go with wedding decor!) and set it up to shade the band since Barry’s tent was not there as promised. The band required a tent so I am grateful they didn’t refuse to set up and came up with a solution. The band sent Barry away since it would be impossible to set up at that point around all their equipment- and the sunniest part of the day had past! Barry's reply to me, "well your band sent me away." Since Barry did not keep his end of the deal, it would be reasonable for him to refund us. I even asked for just half of the deposit I had paid him. At first he agreed and promised he would pay when he had a more profitable month, but after countless texts and calls and requests through Zelle (for 9 months)... it is crickets. Buyer beware!
