Very friendly staff and management. Though I'm only a student and just starting out, they took the time to give me a tour of their facilities and explained what their company had to offer. I've visited Jr lighting several times a year for a film class I teach at UNLV. The staff is small, but extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. They have plenty of newer LED lights and good old-school HDMI lights too. If you follow them on Instagram they often have Saturday classes once a month where they go over the newest equipment for professionals. I really like filmmaker hubs like this where the film community get together and learn, meet, and do. Jr is a blast, and has tons of great stories. His daughter also helps run the joint. Jr teaches a lighting class for UNLV once a year. Very cool. I cannot really speak to the prices because this is really the only rental house like this in the area, and I have not actually rented from here yet, but call and request quotes. Must have insurance. Sometimes I think it would be good for JR Lighting to list base prices for every item and update those frequently so people know a little better of what general prices they might expect before calling the rental agents, trying to negotiate a package. I like to know a baseline price. It can even be high as long as I have a general idea of cost estimates.
