Texas Fleet Leasing Standards
Standard statutory & contractual benchmarks governing procurement in Texas:
Commercial fleet operations across Texas require strict adherence to gross weight classifications. Vehicles rated between 10,001 and 26,000 lbs operate without a CDL but require active DOT medical cards and electronic logging devices (ELD), while units over 26,001 lbs require certified CDL drivers and IFTA reporting.
Enterprise fleets in Texas leverage open-end Terminal Rental Adjustment Clause (TRAC) structures. This preserves operational capital, shifts residual asset risk favorably to commercial operators, and allows companies to deduct monthly lease charges as operational expenditures under ASC 842.

Google Review Sentiment & Client Excerpts
“Clients generally praise Fleetserve Truck Sales for their efficient process, fair pricing, and excellent customer service, often highlighting the helpfulness of their staff like Bradley. While most experiences are positive, one customer reported dissatisfaction due to a vehicle being sold to another party during negotiations, indicating a potential area for process improvement regarding holding vehicles.”
I bought a van from fleetserve and could not be happier with the business. They were very accommodating and efficient with the entire process. The van that I bought was high mileage but was in excellent shape and seems to have been very well taken care of and honestly represented. I highly recommend fleetserve.
We tried to buy a stake truck from this company and they sold it to someone else in the middle of dealing with us. It started out great, had a great conversation and test drive, but we pointed out a couple of issues. They were happy to get them resolved, which we appreciated. We had a nice conversation with the owner and his son about how they liked working with smaller companies and helping them grow with their fleet needs. It seemed like they were willing to work with us by fixing the minor issues, but then sold the truck as soon as they fixed them. I asked to wait a couple more days so a check would clear up and they said that was fine. Then they sent me a text the next morning stating they had already sold it because someone wired the money to them already. They told me they don't like waiting or holding vehicles with deposits because they have had too many people back out of sales with them. What a crock of BS. So be very wary of what they tell you when negotiating a sell. At least they didn't get any money out of us...
Bought my first work truck with Bradley at Fleet Surf Truck Sales. You don't need to go anywhere else. These guys will take care of you. They always have great inventory and great pricing. Happy customer!
Solid company to work with. Didn’t try to best me around on price. Straight and to the point. They will be getting all of our future fleet business. They even drove the truck down to my house and dropped it off to work around my schedule. 5 stars
