Michigan Fleet Leasing Standards

Standard statutory & contractual benchmarks governing procurement in Michigan:

Intrastate DOT & Regulatory MandatesDOT & Safety

Commercial fleet operations across Michigan require strict adherence to gross weight classifications. Vehicles rated between 10,001 and 26,000 lbs operate without a CDL but require active DOT medical cards and electronic logging devices (ELD), while units over 26,001 lbs require certified CDL drivers and IFTA reporting.

Lease Taxation & Accounting StructureTax & Depreciation

Enterprise fleets in Michigan leverage open-end Terminal Rental Adjustment Clause (TRAC) structures. This preserves operational capital, shifts residual asset risk favorably to commercial operators, and allows companies to deduct monthly lease charges as operational expenditures under ASC 842.

This is for drive away. They shut off receiving trucks at 2:30pm plan accordingly and be careful don’t rush it’s hella busy city they ain’t worth it god bless.

We have been bringing our Volvo trucks to this dealer for more than 9 months and are happy with the service department's job on our trucks, they work through every issue paying attention to a detail and letting us know what is going on on timely manner. Although a little bit expensive, they do a good job. thank you

Service is a joke. They take forever to actually fix trucks and it usually has to go back to get fixed properly. Min of truck visit to fix 1 problem is 3. Glorified union parts changers work here. 2 trucks avaliable for purchase on lot. Basically zero inventory. Parts department is extremely excellent.

7 days and counting. I'm an owner operator. I'm down so that means I'm not getting paid. No one is calling me. No one is returning my calls. Never again. Next Monday will be two weeks. How does a Volvo dealer not have kingpins for a Volvo?
