Washington Fleet Leasing Standards

Standard statutory & contractual benchmarks governing procurement in Washington:

Intrastate DOT & Regulatory MandatesDOT & Safety

Commercial fleet operations across Washington require strict adherence to gross weight classifications. Vehicles rated between 10,001 and 26,000 lbs operate without a CDL but require active DOT medical cards and electronic logging devices (ELD), while units over 26,001 lbs require certified CDL drivers and IFTA reporting.

Lease Taxation & Accounting StructureTax & Depreciation

Enterprise fleets in Washington leverage open-end Terminal Rental Adjustment Clause (TRAC) structures. This preserves operational capital, shifts residual asset risk favorably to commercial operators, and allows companies to deduct monthly lease charges as operational expenditures under ASC 842.

Kyle and his team should be the first place you contact for rentals. I reserved a 16' box truck with lift gate with another vendor thinking Kevin's 20' box truck wouldn't fit. Long story short they couldn't deliver so I went with Kevin's larger truck. Found out the wheel base was actually shorter and it fit with no issue. The lift gate is huge and simple to operate. Truck comes with securing straps. The diesel sips fuel and with the van style front is very easy to drive. AND it was almost $100.00 cheaper than the "other guys" Kevin was very attentive and wanted to ensure a successful experience.

I rented a 4 yard dump truck over the weekend to remove dirt from my yard. The truck was easy to load with a medium sized skid steer. I was able to move 12 loads of dirt at around 4 cu. yards each. The truck was simple to use and worked flawlessly. Just remove the rear boards and push the button on the tilt controller. Everything on the truck felt solid and safe. The entire process from reservation to drop off was easy with clear upfront pricing. I will definitely use PNW truck rental again for my next landscaping project.

Consumers be ware, I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience with PNW Truck Rental. I rented what was represented as a dump truck to transport topsoil to my home. However, after loading the truck and arriving at my property, I discovered that although the truck bed would raise, the rear dump gate would not open properly to release the soil. Dirt had become trapped behind the rear panel, preventing the truck from functioning properly as a dump truck. When a loader places soil into a dump truck bed, there is naturally no practical way for a customer to prevent some material from getting behind the rear gate. In my understanding, a properly functioning dump truck should allow the rear gate to swing open automatically when the bed is raised. To make matters worse, it was raining heavily, and I had accidentally locked myself out of my home because my garage door opener was left in my personal vehicle at the rental office. When I contacted PNW Truck Rental for assistance, instead of acknowledging the equipment issue, I was blamed for supposedly overloading the truck. I was then informed they would send someone to help for an additional $50 charge. When I initially rented the truck, the quoted charge for four hours was $125.99. However, when I returned the truck, the final amount increased to $190.67. The most disturbing part of the experience occurred when I returned to the office with my wife and repeatedly requested a final receipt. The representative refused to provide it, became confrontational, knocked my hat onto the ground, and pushed me out the door in front of my wife. I found this behavior completely unacceptable and very unprofessional. Overall, I felt I was treated unfairly throughout the entire experience. Customers renting specialized equipment deserve properly functioning vehicles, transparent billing, and respectful treatment.
