Google Review Sentiment & Client Excerpts
“While many clients commend MacEnthusiasts for their exceptional customer service, diverse high-end Apple inventory, and ability to provide rapid, tailored solutions for critical projects, some experiences highlight significant issues. These include slow communication, inconsistent and unclear rental requirements, and perceived incompetence or dishonesty in service delivery, leading to frustration and wasted resources for a subset of customers.”
---FEELS SKETCH---- Very strange experience and a waste of time. I needed to rent a laptop for post-production. Communication was slow and they were a little hard to reach, but I worked through it. We finally settled on renting a Mac, and they told me I needed $3,500 of insurance. I went and bought the insurance. Then they said it didn't meet their requirements and I'd need a large deposit instead, despite no requirements being mentioned beyond the rental amount. I asked what exactly they needed so I could add or change it on my policy. Their response: they "won't provide a detailed breakdown of their underwriting process." Setting aside that they aren't the underwriter, who requires insurance but won't tell you what's actually needed? They didn't care. That left a deposit as the only option, which I would have originally done, except I'd already paid for insurance that is now useless. I routinely rent $100,000 cameras for productions and have never had this much trouble. The whole thing was a terrible experience and genuinely inconsiderate of the customer. This isn't the only game in town, look elsewhere.
This business has serious problems w competence and honesty. I brought my machine in for what should have been a simple hard drive upgrade. They took the machine and it sat for 3 days b4 getting a call they couldn’t do it. They then recommended I buy a used machine w a larger drive and they could transfer the data. So I did. Now I’m 1000 dollars into it and two weeks so my computer w lots of angry clients and they still have not completed the job. For the money I wasted at their direction I could have just gone to Apple for a new machine and been working weeks ago
I wish I knew about them sooner!!! Palisades fire victim, and MacE helped me with temporary and also longer term work and personal laptops and desktops. They had the high-end models that I needed. Fantastic customer service, and the units performed. I will be a return customer, but hopefully not due to fires.
Wonderful experience. Great inventory and customer service. Will absolutely be working with you guys again!
