Oregon Fleet Leasing Standards
Standard statutory & contractual benchmarks governing procurement in Oregon:
Commercial fleet operations across Oregon require strict adherence to gross weight classifications. Vehicles rated between 10,001 and 26,000 lbs operate without a CDL but require active DOT medical cards and electronic logging devices (ELD), while units over 26,001 lbs require certified CDL drivers and IFTA reporting.
Enterprise fleets in Oregon leverage open-end Terminal Rental Adjustment Clause (TRAC) structures. This preserves operational capital, shifts residual asset risk favorably to commercial operators, and allows companies to deduct monthly lease charges as operational expenditures under ASC 842.

Google Review Sentiment & Client Excerpts
“TEC Equipment receives mixed reviews, with praise for professional service, reasonable prices, and clean trucks. However, significant concerns include aggressive sales tactics, poor rental truck conditions, and discriminatory leasing practices towards smaller businesses.”
We had a terrible experience renting a Mack truck from Hai Nguyen and let me tell you it was horrible. From excessive phone calls to multiple text messages and emails literally begging us to start renting and so when we were convinced to rent his truck, he kept harassing us nonstop to get the drivers personal details. And if that's not enough, the truck our driver was placed in reeked of smell and had multiple leaks even though it only had 5k miles. The way a rental agency succeeds is by treating its customers respectfully and not wasting their time with BS and this agency has failed multiple times and that screams bad management !
I bought a car hauler trailer highmount from Duane at TEC I'm from the east coast I was in Seattle delivering some cars I bent one of my decks i called Duane and Mike in service they got me in asap they fixed my deck and did an awesome job welding and reinforcing my deck very professional and reasonable price Thank you TEC
Great salesman Duane and this is how a new truck should look at delivery
Don't waist your time trying to lease from these guys. Apparently, according to the salesman whom I spoke with. My company that has been registered with the State for a few years now is not qualified to lease equipment from them. Apparently according to the salesman, my company is not a company... I guess if you aren't a mega carrier they don't want your business. I have done a lot of business with TEC Equipment in the past from purchasing equipment as well as for maintenance needs. I think it is definitely time to move on though. I have no interest in doing business with a company that does not want all of my business. To be clear this was all from a phone call. There were no applications for credit or anything other than the initial phone call to inquire about their leasing process.
