Tennessee Fleet Leasing Standards

Standard statutory & contractual benchmarks governing procurement in Tennessee:

Intrastate DOT & Regulatory MandatesDOT & Safety

Commercial fleet operations across Tennessee require strict adherence to gross weight classifications. Vehicles rated between 10,001 and 26,000 lbs operate without a CDL but require active DOT medical cards and electronic logging devices (ELD), while units over 26,001 lbs require certified CDL drivers and IFTA reporting.

Lease Taxation & Accounting StructureTax & Depreciation

Enterprise fleets in Tennessee leverage open-end Terminal Rental Adjustment Clause (TRAC) structures. This preserves operational capital, shifts residual asset risk favorably to commercial operators, and allows companies to deduct monthly lease charges as operational expenditures under ASC 842.

Exceptional as always!

Guy hit my car, Enterprise gave me a rental, paid by his insurance, while my car was being repaired. First, I was promised a luxury rental (my car is a high end Mercedes), but only thing available in Franklin, was a Nissan Altima, which constantly lost air in a tire, kept putting air in it, finally went flat and stranded me in Green Hills. Friend rescued me, was finally sent to the 8th Ave location, where I was given a Kia, which was okay until my car was fixed several weeks later. The people were cordial, but the overall experience was beyond frustrating. THEN today I get a voicemail from some woman who wants to close out my account, gives me her first name, a phone number and an extension. I call the number, only choices for customer service are first three letters of the person's last name, which I didn't have, and no choice to key in an extension number. Finally left a voicemail, but who knows if it will ever be returned. I give up. Pretty sorry way to run a business.
