Now after moving out, I’m being charged almost $350–$400 between utilities, cleaning fees, and additional charges. This is the most I’ve ever been charged at any apartment I’ve lived at, especially considering everything I dealt with while living here.
The biggest issue was the valet trash. Within a month, the hallways and stairwells became disgusting. Trash was constantly dragged across the floors, leaving leaking garbage and stains everywhere. I emailed management multiple times with pictures and was even told to send them to another office email so everyone could see them. Later, when I called again, I was told they “never saw the emails.”
The neighbor across from me constantly left leaking trash outside their door. Every time I opened my apartment, huge flies would fly inside and I was killing multiple flies almost every day after work. Eventually there were maggots all over the hallway floor near their trash. The hallways constantly smelled like sewer and garbage, and I stopped inviting people over because it was embarrassing. That tenant eventually got evicted, but the hallway was never even properly cleaned before a new resident moved in.
Another time, I reported an entire hallway near the stairs covered in huge flies that barely moved when approached. The hallways were also always full of cobwebs, dust, and debris like they were rarely cleaned.
The package room was another constant issue. The access codes almost never worked, and most of the time I had to contact customer service and prove I actually received a package just to gain access.
Residents are also charged for “common area utilities,” which became frustrating seeing things like a full music video production crew using the pool and clubhouse for hours with doors constantly left open.
There were also hornet nests around the buildings during the summer, and for almost my entire lease I thought my room was just naturally hot until I realized toward the end that my bedroom window appeared to never have been sealed or installed properly. My electric bill for a one-bedroom was consistently around $130–$140.
Toward the end of my lease, another tenant repeatedly made me uncomfortable by recording or photographing me while I was on my balcony, and even recorded me and the tow truck driver the entire time my car was being towed.
As for the move-out charges, I understand apartments expect trash removed and the unit cleaned. I called the leasing office the last day of my lease because I had just moved, started a new job, and was finishing cleaning late. I was told to leave the keys in the drawer and send an email afterward. I finished around 11 PM and did not feel comfortable walking alone to the compactor that late because coyotes are common around the property at night, so I left the trash for valet pickup. I also accidentally missed one drawer with belongings.
Overall wouldn’t waste my time with rpm

Ashley was great—knows the ins and outs about the property, answered all my questions regarding my lease. During my latest tour, I did hear the freight train passing by in the morning, and she made it her mission to ask the tenant in the unit I am planning on moving in to, how it sounds like being in doors. Overall, Ashley was just a breath of fresh air and I can’t wait to lease with LYV.
